choice of food available
The proprietor (Rory) went out of his way to accommodate us including pick-up and drop-off at our convenience. Much appreciated.
I can't blame the hotel but it's on the A82 making it a little noisy and very popular for passing coach trips!
A bit older place, but kept up nicely.
Excellent location across the road from the loch. Good views from the restaurant.
Not the warmest welcome we've received on our travels. Wifi non existent except in the lobby. Sheets had a stain and our duvet cover was ripped.
It was central to where we wanted to be on a day by day road trip. It offered a good standard for the cost of an overnight stay.
The room didnt offer very good levels of sound proofing - very noisy with the slamming of doors from other guests. Through the walls we could even hear other guests showering. The hot water was too hot (my wife scalded her hand). The Hotel was quite remote in terms of surroundings - transport was needed if you wanted to visit local facilities.
The staff were excellent and the food was good altho a bit expensive
The hotel pictures are decieving!! Its right on the road. The loch view includes a car park full of coaches. Your loch view windows look out onto a balcony with people drinking and smoking, its very noisy both from the road/car park and from the rooms above. For what you get, it way over priced..£109 ? I would not stay here again!!
The staff were so friendly at this hotel, especially the reception staff. The room was small but comfortable. And we enjoyed an amazing meal at the hotel restuarant.
We were really upset not to have a room with a view of Loch Ness, instead we had a view of a grassy bank.
Excellent location along Loch Ness. Nice view from the restaurant over the lake. Good base for exploring, Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Inverness, Glen Affric, ...
Room walls are rather thin and we had noisy neighbours.
Evening meal was very good
Location - near a busy road (did not realise this at time of booking). Would not have wanted a room at the front. Woodland rooms were fine.
Very clean hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff. Beautiful view off loch. Very relaxing.
Although room service is offered when rang nobody answers. When going down to reception regarding room service we was told that the was no room service as the chef had gone home. Why advertise this service when it wasn't available. Also the observation windows of the restuarant and our balcony were covered with spiders. No one had cleaned them.
Hotel staff very helpful & friendly. Rooms were clean put a bit small. We did have a problem with sound on the T.V. when it could not be repaired we were offered an other room which was a lot bigger than ours.we would stay at the Clansman hotel again, and found it to be great value for money.
The hotel was well situated for a short stopover. Located at the Loch Edge and perfect for loch cruises. Staff friendly and room clean and comfortable. Excellent value for money
Friendliness of staff. Great food. Fantastic views of Loch Ness
Being next to the main road traffic could be heard but this was not really a problem
Excellent welcome on arrival, very good food, excellent views. Overall very impressed
Staff very pleasant food good
Booked spacious delux double room very small
